Setting Radio in javascript

Hi,
I am facing a strange problem. I configured a javascript to a datacapture template I want to modify the radio button status durin the form loading or saving. When the form is saved I can modify the radio button status but the same code don't work on init.

Radio item name=>SKUOuterUseMeItem
SKUDefaultValue this may be 0 or 1.

for setting the new status to radio->
SKUOuterUseMeItem.setValue(SKUDefaultValue);

This same thing work during saving the form.
Is there any other function instead of setValue to set the value of radio button?

Are you not setting the RADIO button? i.e option button, so only one can be set. why r u using setValue and even JScript, can't u set it as default which ever you want to set in the DCT......

The DCT contains the radio item as---

Default SKU
Enter the Default SKU

------------------------
JAVASCRIPT Fuction which sets the value to radio

var SKUDefaultItem= IWDatacapture.getItem("/Product/main/UseMe");
var SKUDefaultValue = SKUDefaultItem.getValue();

SKUDefaultItem.setValue(temp2);

Here I want to change the status dynamically as per the entries in DCT.
temp2 is a variable which will contain the value required to set.
I tried using 0,"0",1,"1" and temp2 + "" instead of temp2.

The same thing works for the creation od a DCR. The radio button changes its status but not possible during editing an existing DCR.

Try using this
IWDatacapture.getItem("/Product/main/UseMe/yourRadioItem").setValue(1);

Note: path is just for refrence need to put the correct path to the radio.

1 here is selecting the second radio button (index value).
