Email Scheduler

Hi All,
I wont to set a Email Scheduler to send emalis to each and every content authores the files thay have added, modified during the day. That sceduler will send a mail in daily basic in same time every day. (Lest say 11:00PM). Can any one tell me how to handle this one?

Write some code to do the processing you want and then use something like cron or Windows Scheduler (you didn't mention your platform) to kick off your script when you want.

For getting the list of files - probably iwlistmod will help.
To get information about who the author is - my guess would be either iwfilestate or iwattrib

Play with it a bit and you should be able to figure it out.

You have to write an external script which can send mail after checking all your ifs and buts. After that you have to ask your server admin to set a scheduler to call that script as per your requirement.

You can easily write a perl script using the clt iwlistmod as mentioned by Ghoti in an external task for better performance issue.

Well - there's an issue with this request - we can basically tell you bits and pieces of what you need to do - but ultimately you either need to write it, hire someone who has more experience with Perl (and hopefully TS too), or hope that someone here decides to just give you code for free.

In terms of sending email - you can look at the

iwhome/bin/iwsend_mail.ipl

script and look at things like: perldoc Mail::Mailer, and perldoc Mail:endmail

In terms of setting up a scheduled process - look at man cron and man crontab

As already mentioned -

The above are all TeamSite CLTs and you can find information about them in either the TeamSite Command Line Tool manual and/or by running the commands in a shell with the -h flag.

Putting it all together - that's your job.
