dbi for use with cgi-callout

Hi All:

I am having trouble installing the DBI module and the DBD module for oracle. I'm trying to use the callout elements of Teamsite in conjunction with the DBI module to pull selection fields from database tables.

I am working on an NT machine using gnumake 3.79 and perl 5.00503 that was installed with Oracle 8.1.7.

I have downloaded the DBI 1.2 and tried to install it. the perl Makefile.PL command executed fine. But the makefile that was generated always gives an error and fails when I try to make it.
The error generated is:
Makefile:871 *** Missing separator. Stop.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?
