CGI TASK not starting immediately

Hi

I have a CGI Task that comes after a user task and both are owned by the same user.
I have set immediate="t" for the CGI Task
But the CGI Task is not starting after the User Task is complete and I have to hit StartInputTask for it to start.

Is there a way to have it started immediately

Could you please post your snippet of workflow? Also, as whatever values are needed in order to run the cgitask are readily availble to the same prior to execution? I mean as task variable or job variable or any passed parameter.

Attached is the wft and the cgi script that I want to use in the CGI Task. It is a very simple CGI to show a JS Alert to the users.

But my CGI task , even though is becoming active after the User Task is done is not becoming starting. Users have to click "Start Input Task"
I want it to start automatically and I am not sure what the issue is as looks like it meets the reqs. to start immediately

It seems you have done some typo error while copying and pasting the the code . Please correct them and what is "uri_escape()" doing there ?

It is not even coming to the execution of the CGI Script as the task does not get started and I am guessing whatever is in the CGI gets executed after the task is started.
My issue is that the CGI task is not even started

From the wft file I can see the successor task name for the user task is not same as the cgi task name.
Can you give some more details as what are you doing in your user task ?

I think you need preliminary training... on workflows. Your task declaration and definition seems so and as Pawan said... your task name is not the same in both of them.
