DCR relationships

I am trying to implement the best approach in creating DCR relationships.

The propose approach is to apply a UUID to all resources in TeamSite and a common UID to relationships using the EAs. We've turn on the indexing at the working area. The indexing get trigger at the creation event and the UUID applied.

IW search is used to retrieve the members based on the common ID and other attributes.

Problem with this model is that it is relying on indexing and seach. Indexing could have a 1 minute delay and when the server workload will increase, the delay could be higher. Aslo there is the possibility of index corruption.

I am reluctant to accept this approach but we have a business requirement to maintain resources relationships for dcr alternate languages and alternate format.

Does anybody have the experience maintaining relationship integrity in TeamSite.
