Why the dcr is still locked ?

When i am doing Undo Changes from the Edit in menu item on my dcr after editing and saving it, the changes are reverted but still the dcr is locked with username.
Why is it so ?

because that is how it works. The lock is assigned on the start of an edit. If you never save or do not change, the lock still exists.

What I did was an edit followed by some changes and then save, the dcr was locked and modified in my username. When I clicked on Undo Changes it reverted to the latest version but still locked with my username.

Then I have to manually unlock it. Isin't it an extra piece of work remaining on the part of TS ?

Please let me know if I am misinterpreting.

you got it right. by launching Edit, you took control over the file. So, if you do not intend to work with it and subsequently submit, at this stage, then yes, you will have to manually unlock the file.

That is certainly one opinion. Yes you do need to unlock it. This is from the SCM paradigm where lock and edit are a separate function.

Just because you undo your changes doesn't mean you want to give up "ownership" of the lock on the file - hence the lock is not released automatically.

I don't recally whether the GetLatest options include one for releasing locks on updated files - if it doesn't, it might be worth filing a feature request with IWOV Support for an additional option on that part of the UI (though it might require an additional change to iwupdate as well)

There's a process of making customization, has any one tried it before?
