Env : TS 6.5 SP 2 on Solaris

I have a very strange problem in that I can see a file through /iwmnt but I cannot through the interface and this is using the same user!

Any ideas ?

Are you able to see the file thru command prompt... on the file system?

To be clearer I can see the file from the command line but, I CANNOT see the file through the TeamSite GUI.

Is the problem persists with a single file or more?

But the file permission will not render it invisible in GUI. You may not be able to edit it but you will see the file atleast.

My question to Mr Cruise is how was the file uploaded to system initially? May be that will give us some hint.

Try a reboot. Not sure it will help but it works many times.

Just a suggestion, rebooting mostly helps on windows platform. Smiley Happy

The file is a DCR and was created through the TeamSite GUI. Rebooting TeamSite seems a little extreme but, has anyone found that rebooting the GUI fixes the problem ?

Please show the current working directory and the full command and output of that command that you used to see the file from the command line.

That might provide some additional fodder for ideas about why you cannot see the files through the UI.

Is this a file which name starts with zz_tst_ ?

Teamsite templating uses some temporary files for the "preview" function, which are named zz_tst_SOMEMORETEXT (SOMEMORETEXT seems partly random and also includes user's name)

I tested in TS6.5 Solaris just now, and if I create a DCR named zz_tst_test, it will be hidden in the GUI, visible in unix nfs view.

Seems like the GUI is hardcoded to ignore zz_tst_* files. Maybe other files too...

If that's not it, give us more information, like Ghoti asked.

OK - sorry to waste people's time I am working in India and got the server mixed up. So I was looking at two different tow and hence why I could not see the file :-(

I bet some clients in a Western country have paid a few grands already while you were researching this serious issue
