dynamically changing replicant's max property

I have a select box and based on the value selected here, I have to set the max bound on the replicant container. How can we do this in javascript/form api?

Requirement is to update the max property of the container element dynamically through javascript.


I am using TS6.5 on solaris. Any help is appreicated. thanks.

Make max unbounded, set Item handler to catch "OnReplicantBeforeAdd" event and warn User/return false if it's over dynamic bound.

That's easy. What you gonna do however if later on somebody updates your DCR and sets bound for less than it currently is?
You can off course delete extra-replicants but that means deleting the job already done and clean/approved content is often expensive

Another option may work if your selection is limited to very few (2-3?) items. You can create several Containers and alternate their visibility.
This is also far from ideal, you may end up trying to "synchronize" independent containers upon modifications of anyone of them
