Case Sensitive folders do not go away

If I create a folder in lowercase
submit it
delete it
submit the deletion
create the folder again in uppercase and submit it
the folder in staging stays in lowercase.
How can I fix this?

It is creating problems because when I create a new workarea from staging I get the lowercase folder names which causes a problem in our site.

How about:

create foo
rename foo to foo123
rename foo123 to Foo

That works for me (TS 6.5 on DOS)

what does Foo look like now?

d**n you are correct my friend. I just tested it. Since we deploy out of workarea in the WF, I had not noticed it.

Log a support issue. This is certainly a bug and will affect some people (and very hard to detect)

Just curious if you filed a support case. If a bug is assign, please post. I know my current gig will get hit with this sooner or later.

In our experience it's worse than that.

Even after getting all developer workareas to show the most recent capitalization of the folder name, occasionally a 'Get Latest' will cause them to revert to their former case.

We haven't yet figured out what the exact conditions are under which the reversion happens, but it's a real nuisance to have folders change case for no apparent reason.

This bug seems like just a UI display problem. Why does this affect your site? When I demo this bug, the case is correct in staging viewed from the Y:\

I am just curious how it looks to OD. I am working on a site that deploys from DOS to Unix, so this, if not working correctly, concerns me. Deploy from WA is correct on the case, I have not tried deploy from Staging

This appears to be a server defect. I have opened a bug (67875) to track this.
