New Capability - LiveSite Forum - Sticky Posts

We are testing a new capability *only* in this forum - the ability to have posts be "sticky".

Posts marked as "sticky" by the forum moderator (Shanon or Heather) will stay at the top of the new forum postings for this board. The first word of these posts will also be "sticky".

Once we get some feedback on this capability, we will consider using it for other boards.

This would be a good feature. Is this "sticky" thread have some timestamp (for example n days, n weeks)? and when timestamp expires it will display as normal thread?

Yeah, it definitely helps us to be aware of the posts we desire to read instead to search it all through list of new posts. The only question comes through is how a moderator differentiate between a normal or a sticky thread.

Well, I think that a Sticky thread is one that answers questions / issues that are raised repeatedly. Both of the sticky HowTo threads have been extremely popular questions from our support and services organizations.

As far as the "My Favorites" go, I don't think that functionality exists with vBulletin ( our forum app ). That said, the forum search functionality is quite good so you should be able to quickly find posts that related to your question / concern.
