Could anyone suggest what does this mean?

I am trying to use migrate command on the box which has new installation of TS6.7.1. I took store copy of ts5.5.2 to this new box and running the command.

Any kind of suggestions are truly appreciated

Was this issue resolved? I am currently experienceing the same problem. Both platforms are Windows2003 with TS 6.7.1 and I'm mapping the migrate_to drive as G: as in Tech Article 50601. Thanks in advance for any help!

If you Refer Kb#56984 then the upgrade paths for TS6.7.1. are from TS6.1-SP2/TS65-SP2 or TS-6.7.0 Only .

Not sure how you can plug(read migrate) a TS5.5.2 backing store in TS-6.7.1 directly since the BS format changed TS-6.x onwards .

at tht time I was getting this problem on TS 6.7.1 Solaris 9

I couldnt get the exact reason why I was getting that error... but I did a branch by branch migration and separetely the branch which was causing me the problem mentioned in the logs, and to my surprise migration was succesful ...

I had a ticket open with Support guys at tht time, we tired different things but ended up with the same issue, so had to go with above mentioned way.

Try migrating each branch separetely into new environment and it should work.

You will need to go to TS 6.1 first, then to TS 6.7.1.

If I were you I would start a new thread. The original thread was taking a 5.5.2 backingstore to 6.7.1 From your post it does not seem to be the issue, or at least give all of the specifics for your environment, (starting point, ending point, what you did in between, what commands you ran, etc).

Typically the issue is that the user running this task does not have permission on both servers to do the operations (i.e. not admin on both)

Thanks for all the replies. The problem is now solved. As nipper said, the problem was due to the user profile with which I was logged in on server A not having Administration permissions on Server B.
