iwmigrate for TS6.1 SP2 to 6.7.1

Hi,
I've done a upgrade from TS 6.1 SP2 to TS 6.7.1 in Win 2003 environment in a test server. The sanity checks seems to be OK. I can create templates and workflows are working fine.

Tech lib says the following

"Note: If you upgrade to TeamSite 6.7.1 and have not yet migrated your Content Store from a pre-6.0 release, you should run iwmigrate after upgrading to TeamSite 6.7.1 to convert the Content Store to the more efficient format supported in TeamSite 6.7.1."

Do i need to run iwmigrate for this upgradation. (6.1 SP2 to 6.7.1)
In performance point of view, is it recommended?

From the manuals, i dont think it is required. but in performance point of view, is it recommended?

You mean you did an upgrade install on the same box - right?
I don't believe you'd need to do the iwmigrate - but if you want an official answer I suggest you contact Support.

Yes its on the same box.

All are working fine except the impersonation problem for the external tasks.

In the iw.cfg, if i say impersonate_without_password to false, it works fine with the modified by attribute as SYSTEM.

But, if i change it to true, it fails.
In the utild logs, im getting the following error.

[Wed Nov 29 11:00:16 2006] Error: Impersonation failure user= tssgsissapapl01\bridgeadmin; argcount=5; errCode=1312; cmd=D:\Interwoven\TeamSite/iw-perl/bin/iwperl.exe

\Interwoven\TeamSite/custom/bridge/workflow/bin/bridge_MoveTaskFiles.ipl 2154879 2154880

This user is the administrator in the OS level as well as in the branch level. The ipl file has full control for everyone.

Any suggestions??

Hi,

Every body knows 6.1 is not a pre 6.0 release. The reason behind this post is some people suggested that its better to run iwmigrate anyway. To be on the safer side, i asked here so that if anybody had some details reg this can share with me.

my opinion - if you can avoid doing iwmigrate/iwconvert - do so at any cost, as these tools do not migrate the whole store, but only editions.
There are ways around, but still....
