MediaBin and SAP

I would be interested to hear from anyone that using MediaBin and updates metadata from SAP data feeds? Has anyone done anything like this? I would be interested hear ideas opinions etc?

The main use of this would be be to regularly maintain the article metadata using SAP extract or feeds of some sort.

Any ideas (even conceptual) wold be appreciated.

We have a customer that dumps UPC codes and other metadata values for thier assets from SAP to a SQL Server. They have a script that runs nightly to apply those values as metadata to assets based on various rules set up in the script.

Ok thanks.. so what your saying is that the data is dumped from SAP first into a separate SQL server or table and then the script applies the differences to the MediaBin metadata table? I think this is what you mean right?

We have a number of customers who use ingest scripts to coordinate metadata in MediaBin with an external database as well. Our consulting arm should be able to handle just about any synchronization required.
