Secure Website

I guess this question was addressed so manytimes and there might have been several discussions. I want to know if there is a website, which is created using Teamsite, can we have different securities on this website using just teamsite??

I know this can be done with any third party application like WEblogic POrtal or websphere or coldfusion or anything like these, but i have only Teamsite.

Can secure website be ever created with TeamSite?

If you are using *standard* terminology, Secure Site is the site that uses https protocol over SSL.
As such, Site *Security* has nothing to do to Site assets generation mechanism, be it IWOV TS and/or anything else.

So, TS can be used to create assets for both Secure and non Secure sites.
To make site secure you should obtain/buy digitally signed SSL certificate and configure your Web Server(s) accordingly

thank you guys, i am or any company is concerned about website and its security, i am concerned with http thingy here.

CMS (Content mangement Systems) maintians security on teamsite, but it can never give any security pages on the external website. But some companies demand to acheive any kind of security on the website with teamsite.

I donnno, there are always some questions which managers ask, and as a teamsite developer i cannot answer them as why teamsite cannot do this...

The main reason is that TS has nothing to do with it.
Here is the scenario:

1. You generated Pages using TS
2. You Deployed Pages to Web Servers
3. You trashed TS Servers completely.

A question: What happens to Web Servers? An answer: Nothing.
So TS does not exist but still should be responsible for Web Servers Security?

If you buy furniture from warehouse (TS), their truck delivers (OD) and then it get's stolen from
your house, you do not demand a replacement from warehouse, do you?

Very Nice anology, true, but going on with concepts of "Web Development" I guess the expectations of managers are increasing day by day and TeamSite seems struggling to live to some expectations.

If i am the marketing person for TeamSite, i might not be able to cell the product to any potential customer.
