am not having multiple attribute in datacapture for the select item...
But I want to select multiple value in the DCT…… how can we achieve this through Java script.

I'm not sure its possible - if it's not a multi-select list, then it can only support a single selection.

Perhaps you should re-exmine (and maybe explain) the requirement behind what you are trying to accomplish.

I am creating data capture by a tool.I dont want to create different datacapture for that simple multiple selcetion..ie i will make a copy of one datacapture at different levels...

my reqmnt is..

let say a sub branch level and content category level..but the only requirement i need is to select multiple values at sub branch level ...
ie..I need to modify the existing datacapture or I need to select multiple values at sub branch level programmatically...currently the datacapture is without multiple attribute...

any possible ways...

Use two different select lists - one multiple, one not - and use FormAPI to hide/expose one or the other based on conditions or based on something like a radio-button elsewhere in the DCT. (I don't think there's anyway to dynamically change a select list from being single-vs-multiple - but if there is, you could do that with FormAPI and avoid having the two select lists defined in the DCT).

Other than that, it's a design issue and that's in your ballpark since I'm not getting paid to do your work...
