Upgrade from Teamsite 6.1 to Teamsite 6.5

Just starting to look at Teamsite 6.5 and what it would take to upgrade our existing Windows 2003 servers that are currently running Teamsite 6.1to Teamsite 6.5.

Has anyone done this or come across any gotchas in the process of the upgrade?

Any tricks to the upgrade?
I had heard there was a recommended amount of editions per branch with the new release that sets a maximum of 500 editions per branch. Is this true?

If your W2K3 server has SP1 installed - you'll need TS6.5SP2, All your UI customizations will need to be recompiled as I believe the source directory and possibly the command line tool to build them changed somewhere between 6.0 and 6.5 - but I don't recall whether it happened between 6.0 and 6.1 or 6.1 and 6.5.
I don't know where tis max number of editions per branch recommendation came from - as of 5.5.2 every submit creates a hidden edition, and there should be no penalty for creating tons of named editions (other than disk space utilization)
