Ts Eol

hello,
i noticed that they annouced TS 6.1 EOL march 2007.
and we are about to upgrade to TS 6.5 SP2 from TS 5.6. i wonder how soon would TS 6.5 EOL ? bc it is gonna be in a year or two, i think it is better if we move straight to TS 6.7.
what do you guys think? do we still have time to use TS 6.5 without having to upgrade for few years, or do you think it wont worth it to upgrade to TS 6.5 for short time and have to move up to TS 6.7?

Only Interwoven could provide an official life expectancy for 6.5 - but if you have the time to work on it - moving to 6.7.x might be a better move.

You'll have to grok the whole configurable role thing (I'm just starting a 552 to 671 upgrade now - don't have sufficient experience with it yet to say one way or the other)

Hi CRB,

We have not announced an EOL date for the 6.5 platform, and we have planned maintenance releases for it next year. I think based on our previous EOL schedules that 6.5 probably has about two years of support left at least. We typically announce an EOL at least a year before the version is no longer supported. If you transition to the 6.7.x platform now, it gives you a longer period to start migrating your workflows into the workflow builder and into java from perl.

If you decide to upgrade to the TeamSite 6.7x platform, I strongly recommend upgrading to 6.7.1 because it is considered a maintenance release of 6.7 and Interwoven will only be fixing bugs found in 6.7 in 6.7.1 Service Packs and patches.
