Citrix java error message

I'm on TeamSite 6.5 SP2 / Solaris 9.

We have user that access TeamSite thru Citrix. We just encounter a java error message last week that we never had before.

Edit File Error

Couldn't launch the application to edit 'C:\IWTemp\Server\WA\htdocs\a.html';
java.io.IOException - CreateProcess: C:\IWTemp\Server\appletlauncher.exe 'C:\IWTemp\Server\WA\htdocs\a.html eerror=5

I tried to open a ticket with Interwoven but they don't support Citrix.

Can anybody help?

Hi,
did you check the file system rights of c:\IWTemp on the affected machine?
Error 5 thrown by CreateProcess could be a "Access Denied" error...

Perhaps you additionally clean your IWTemp directory and try it again?

My guess would be that error 5 is EIO (Input/Output error) - is c:\IWTemp on the citrix server? If so, perhaps there's a disk problem there (disk space, as suggested, is certainly one such possibility) - maybe there's a system log file on the citrix server that can be looked at for more detailed information about the error?

I talked to our Citrix Admin and he said that the Citrix drive is map back to the user local drive. We checked the system log but it didn't have anything informative.

Our Citrix admin updated a patch on the box the day before which could be the problem.

The following were the patches applied:

I guess we'll just uninstall the patches on our Development box and go from there.

Ok, I solved the issue. I had to change my c:\IWTemp to point to our Q:\ drive. The Q:\ drive is accessible to user and everyone has their own private directory. ie share drive.

Is it possible to change the launchpad configuration to default to our Q:\ drive for everyone?

I know if users have files checked out that they won't be able to change it until they check everything in.
