Deploy random number of items from a DCT to a DB

I have a FAQ template that uses a replicant to add each additional question. I need to take the question and answer pairs and put them in a DB2 database. Is there a straight forward way of doing this? I've attached the datacapture.cfg, let me know if you need anything else.

As you have forgotten to attach the datcapture.cfg... please do that. Also in addition to that... please attach your DD config file.

Yes -- it doesn't matter how many replicants you want to deploy. If it's structured XML, which is produced as a result of using replicants, then you can easily deploy them -- as long as you have an adapter for the database you're using. I've heard some pretty negative things about using DataDeploy with DB2, so you might have your work cut out for you.

In the meantime, I suggest you read through the DataDeploy documentation for the version you're using, as your requirement is fairly common.

The only simple way to deploy the content of DCR to DB is use of DataDeploy config file, however check your performance level as it is slow in deployments if you have huge data with in each DCR.

It will just create the number of rows equal to the number of replicants being used.

and how to do this is documented? we are using DD 5.6 SP1 and are planning on upgrading to the latest version by the end of next month.

How to DataDeploy DCR's with replicants is documented in the manual. Atleast you need to go through the manual to write the ddconfig.xml file, unless someone else is doing it for you. Even though you are upgrading the DD, you have to know how to write the config file.

Mean while how are you guys thinking about deploying content to database i mean are you using DAS or standalone?
