Protocol Used

I have an associate who has a client who is insisting on knowing what protocol OpenDeploy is based upon- my understanding has always been that it's a proprietary protocol developed by Interwoven themselves- could somebody confirm / deny / clarify this? if it is a proprietary protocol, does it have a name assigned that we could provide?

i had asked Interwoven this.I got the reply that it is a proprietary protocol built on top of TCP.
