Workflow Activation

Hi,
I am new to Interwoven.

I am currently working on a Project which requires triggering of different workflows from the Native Submit Now / Submit Later functionality. Basically I am required to trigger a workflow when I click on Submit Now functionality and an another workflow when I click on Submit Later functionality.

Kidly guide me as this is my first work on Interwoven Teamsite 6.5

There are numerous ways to initiate a workflow. It can be thru a CGI file of TS GUI, which one you are asking for?

Hi,
It seems that you want to trigger a workflow on Submit event. For this you will need to edit available_templates.cfg file. Check workflow documentation for it.

As per my understanding you can not trigger any workflow for "Submit Later" event, infact that is not an event at all !!

I feel the attached screen is an instantiation form which comes on finish of DCT. If this is the case see how you can take "submit later" and "submit now" inside wft of that workflow which instantiates on click of finish.

Depending upon these variables you can trigger another child workflow form parent wft using nestedtask or an externaltask

If the situation is different from what I have assumed then expalin your requirement clearly. If this way is not possible someone can give someother design

As Milind indicated - Submit Later means just that - at some later point in time you will initiate the submit command. It is not a means of initiating a distinct workflow from the Submit Now option.

If you want a workflow that optionally delays the submitting of the pre-selected file(s) then you have to build that functionality into your workflow (with an option like Submit Now / Submit Later in the WFT instantiation form or within a cgitask script).
