I am on TS6.5SP2 on Win2k.

I have to customization questions, How do i restrict just one user to using CCStandard?

Once the user is in CCStandard, how do i customize this particular user to not to have privelages to create a "New Folder" when he/she browses the workarea?

If we cannot do this for a single user, can we do such customization on a branch?

I know this can be done trough out teamsite though.

I don't know how granular you can go off the top of my head but in our situation we set it up so people with the authors role can not create folders but people with an editor role can. I would tell you how to set that up but I'm feeling particularly lazy right but I will say it's in the manual.

Unfortunately - the functionality with regard to the UI chosen doesn't exist until 6.7.1 (perhaps 6.7.0, but if you need to upgrade - go to 6.7.1) where you can define a user's UI as being:

your own custom menu option for deletions - you could then place role-restrictions on the menu item (in general) and code user-restrictions within the code used for the menu item. It's not "pretty" but it works.

Thank you adam, yeah i am aware of things 6.7.1 provides, but we are way far from upgrading our present production TS.

Yah i guess i have to stick to some, not so nice customization. All i am trying to do is remove the option of "New Folder" creation from the right top menu.

Just a quick follow up.

The ability to turn off the new folder option would be controlled at the user role level in 6.7.1. Create folder is one of the actions that can be customized for a given role. You would just have this user or group of users that have roles without this functionality.
