Other Workspaces not showing

Hi,

I'm a newbie to everything Worksite etc.

Can someone please tell me what controls the viewing of Other Workspaces in Desksite?

I have created a new user but the user can not view Other Workspaces.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!
it is controlled by the owner of the workspaces. So for instance, if Ivy is the owner of the workspace 1,2,3. Under Ivy's Window Explorer - My Workspaces - The 3 workspaces will be displayed.

Under Woksite Explorer You should see My Workspaces, My Favourites, Other Folders and Other Workspaces. An Admin (I'd have thought) would be able to see all company workspaces under Other Workspaces.

If I logon to Worksite Web as the admin, I see Other Workspaces, If I log on to Desksite I don't

I would check the registry setting on the workstation running Desksite. There is a Local Machine registry setting that could be masking the worksite explorer branches. The following is information on the registry key:

Interwoven also provides a method to “Show/Hide Nodes” under the WorkSite Explorer section. This setting is in the “Local_Machine” registry section on the user’s workstation. The registry key follows:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Interwoven\WorkSite\8.0\Common\Options

A DWORD value named “Show Explorer Nodes Mask” can contain a value of 0 to 8. If the DWORD value equals zero (or the key does not exist at all), then all folders are hidden. Otherwise, the value must equal a sum of all of the following elements of the folder tree that you want to be visible:

My Folders = 1
My Workspaces = 2
Other Folders = 4
Other Workspaces = 8

For instance, if you want to show My Folder and My Workspaces, but hide Other Folders and Other Workspaces, then set the DWORD value to 3 (1+2). If you want to see “Other Folders” too, then set the value to 7 (1+2+4).
