iwproxy_remap not working

Hi,
I am trying to set up a basic proxy for the styles and images for TeamSite preview and failed so far.

Here's my situation:

1) The aspx file references the styles and images like follows:
styles/styles-body.css
images/fip_fr.gif

2) The "iwproxy_remap" is as follows:
[iwproxy_remap]
mission = dfait-maeci/main/internet-internet/ci-ci-new/brazil-bresil

[mission]
_docroot=/docs

Note: internet-internet => branch:
ci-ci-new => branch
brazil-bresil => branch

The brazil-bresil branch is structured as follows in TeamSite:
brazil-bresil (level 1)
->WORKAREA (level 2)
-> main (level 3)
-> docs (level 4)
-> styles (level 5 folder )
-> images (level 5 folder)
-> test.aspx (level 5 file).

3) The "iwproxy_preconnect_remap" is as follows:
[iwproxy_preconnect_remap]
_regex=(.*dfait-maeci/main/internet-internet/ci-ci-new/brazil-bresil)/(WORKAREA/[^/]*|EDITION/[^/]|STAGING)(/docs/styles/.*)=$1/STAGING$3

However, when I preview the page (e.g. test.aspx) the styles or the images aren't being applied. Only the text is shown.

Can anyone please help me?

First, I think the setting under [iwproxy_remap] needs to start with a leading '/' - without that, it is possible that the mapping to put /docs in front of all requests may be failing (I'm assuming you stopped/started iwproxy after making changes of this sort)

You preconnect_remap looks correct,though possibly a little long-winded, assuming that the mapping of request to include the /docs prefix is handled first - though it is also only set for styles, not for images. You could try:

_regex=(.*/brazil-bresil)/(WORKAREA/[^/]*|EDITION/[^/]|STAGING)(/docs/(styles|images)/.*)=$1/STAGING$3

_regex=(.*/brazil-bresil)/(WORKAREA/[^/]*|EDITION/[^/]|STAGING)(/(styles|images)/.*)=$1/STAGING/docs$3

If Adam's post did not help, kill iwproxy and run it in debug mode and post the output when you try to view the pages in question/

I tried Adam's first suggestion by inserting the initial slash as below. It didn't help.
[iwproxy_remap]

Since I am testing the styles first I didnt' include the image folder. Once the styles start to work, I will insert the images. (less crowded).

I also did the debug mode.
Here's what I did on the command prompt.

It does not look like you took Adams advice about the / in front of the iwproxy_remap

Can you try that with the proxy in debug ? You *may* need to run iwproxy -x (for extremely detailed debug)

It looks like the path to the asp file is not resolved properl.

Hmm - I cannot remember right now whether style sheet (<link>) references are handled like server-side includes (SSI) or like images and hyperlinks.

If it's like SSI - then you would need to make sure that you configured the SSI plug-in (as per the TeamSite Administrator's Guide) and might explain why there is no mention of any css files in the debugging output you posted (I'm assuming the CSS is referenced in that page - yes?)

Perhaps someone else who's done more of this / worked on this kind of thing more recently can add some insight - sorry.

I would suggest to start with a basic preconnect remap before going to the specifics of branch etc. For eg: you can remove everything from the iwproxy_remap section and put in something more generic in proxy preconnect remap and try if it is getting matched.

[iwproxy_preconnect_remap]
_regex=(.*)(/docs/styles)(.*)=/iw-mount/dfait-maeci/main/internet-internet/ci-ci-new/brazil-bresil/STAGING/docs/styles$3

I believe the path require to start from /iw-mount/ or whatever is equivalent based on your locale.

Hi all,

the content store is named "dfait-maeci".
Does anybody know if it is really possibly to add an iwproxy_remap-rule with a new docroot for an content store other than "default"?
There's one note in the admin guides (TS 6.5 and also TS6.7), section "Configuring TeamSite Web Daemon and Proxy Server Operation" -> "Document Roots":

Note: The proxy server does not allow you to remap the document root directory for
Content Store branches other than the default Content Store.

An iwproxy_preconnect_remap is definitely no problem, we use this, too...

Hi All,
Thanks for all the help. The proxy is working now the way I had it in the first place. The reason was that in my aspx file, I had a base tag with empty url which blocked the whole proxy remapping. Once I removed the base tag completely, everything started working.
