For loop is not working in DCT

Hi all,

I am trying to use for loop in my form api code but it's just not working.When i take out the for loop then i don't have any issues. It's strange , i think i am doing some sily mistake. Any help will be appriciated.Below is my formapi code:

var itemReplicantArray = IWDatacapture.getItem('/tab2/promotion').getChildren();
alert("itemReplicantArray "+ itemReplicantArray);
alert("itemReplicantArray.length"+ itemReplicantArray.length);
if (itemReplicantArray){
alert("inside itemReplicant");
for (var i=0;i < 6;i++)
{alert("value of i"+ i);
}
