Create an Anchor using TinyMCE

I am trying to create an anchor in the TinyMCE editor.

I can use the Anchor button to create the anchor. The following appears in the html:

a name="Email_Heading"

The problem occurs when I try to create the reference. I have tried several things:

- Using the Link button and putting #Email_Heading as the url.

- Putting #Email_Heading directly in the html.

Either way results in the following code:

a class="null" href="/iw-cc/command/">

TinyMCE strips the anchor name and replaces it with /iw-cc/command/ , which gives me an error message when I select the link on a preview page.

Any suggestions?

While I like the new editor for not needing a plug in to install, it seems to be really buggy in parts... :mad:

This appears to have been abandoned, but I'm also having this problem. Has anyone found a solution?

one way to try this, since you know the resultant page name for the dcr you are creating ... try this
/presentpage#anchorname

in tinymce it looks for "/" or "http://" or someother linking notations otherwise it will add /iw-cc/commnad. this was my observation, anyone can correct me if I am wrong.

Not sure if it will fix it or not, but many TinyMCE issues have been resolved in SP1 that were there before. If you haven't upgraded all the way to SP1 yet, that may be your problem.

The bug you describe is 71421. It is indeed fixed in SP1.

try upgrading to sp1, that shoulld help.
