Compare Versions doesn't work!

Hi!

We are using TS 6.5 SP3.
We select a file and then File->Versions.
We select 2 different version of the file and then click on "Compare Versions".
When we click on "Visual" tab an error will be generated:
"The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later."

Any suggestions?

The reason for the error is that your IE wasn't able to find dictionary declaration as defined by DOCTYPE in your XML.
So, as pointed by nipper you can use "Source Compare". If you still want "Visual" you can copy your DTDs somewhere
in iwstore and use proxy Server to redirect declarations. Like that:

[iwproxy_preconnect_remap] section of iw.cfg:
_regex=(.*)/my.dtd=/iw-mount/default/main/shared/STAGING/DTDs/my.dtd

I *think* that alternatively you can keep DTDs in the same directory as related XMLs but I never tried that.

I filed a Support case recently because the Source compare tool (java applet) is ignoring the character encoding of the XML file, and assuming ISO-8859-1 (or ASCII ?). The case was marked "Bug" but I didn't receive a bug ID (yet)

Take a look at [thread=17364]this[/thread] thread. It is less than perfect but it is better than nothing (I actually made it work for UTF-16LE and UTF-8)
