Move Teamsite 6.5 to new server
cari
Hi,
Teamsite 6.5 sp2 on Solaris
We are in the process of moving TeamSite 6.5 server to a new server.
The version of TeamSite server is the same on both the servers.
We moved the iw-store from the old server to the new server. Do we need do a iwmmigrate on the store in the new server.
The problem we are facing is that after the iw-store was pushed to the new servers and on restart of the server, we see the branches and the file when we login to the server through the UI. But, on the file system itself we do the see the directory structure on the iwmnt...
The directory structure we see is just /u03/opt/iwmnt/default/main/ on the file system, we do not see the branches and the sub-directories after that
Has anybody encountered such an issue. If so, please advise.
Thanks
Cari

i dont think you need iwmigrate if it is the same TS version, but u do need iwidmap and whtever other tools that takes care of maping user ids to its correspondent on the new server. and your issue might be permissions issue.

Since you are on Solaris, I assume you are using LDAP for authentication and you should not need iwidmap.
The mount point is defined in /etc/defaultiwmount you should ne able to change that and remount (or reboot)
Icebreaker
Hi Cari,
As Nipper said, it could be bcos of the mounting issue.
From my understanding, when you move to a new Server, you will have re-generate TeamSite license. Wonder if you have done that.
