TeamSite 6.7.1 installation problems

Hi,

I am installing a fresh TeamSite 6.7.1 Install on windows 2003, I am having 2 issues, After I install and I try to log into TS, I am getting this error

"The Interwoven Web Daemon was unable to contact the Interwoven Servlet Engine. The Interwoven Servlet Engine may be down, or running on an unexpected host or port. "

Also to log in what initial user id and password that I should use. I thought TS is going to give me Master rights since I've installed Teamsite..

Does anyone has any answers ?

Check the servletd logs, $iwhome/local/logs/iwui (likely)

Edit the file:

iwhome/conf/roles/tsusers.xml and add yourself as a master.

I looked at \iw-home\local\logs\iwui\servletd_out.log file I can see lot of "SEVERE: Failed to connect to JNDI provider" error.. How can this be fixed ?

Anything else ? I do not think that is it as I have a bunch of those type errors in my log. I know there have been some threads about them, you may search for JNDI.

i think the error " failed to connect to JNDI" only occurs when event subsystem is not runnning / enabled...i think you need to check iw.cfg and see wht port webd is running on, that kind of configuration before you can access it throu the web...

Also in \iw-home\servletd\logs\iweventproxy.log I am seeing this error. Is there is port conflict ?

are all the services up? based on you are saying, i am assuming that one or more of these webd / proxing/ serveltd services is not running?

if any of them is not running, then try to focus on just one of them and try to get it running first...
also can you post all your iw.cfg on here?

Only the Interwoven Servlet Engine stops after trying to access it with http://localhost/iw-cc.

Unfortunately - more often than not, the space is actually a by-product of some bizarre forum-software bug and not actually present in the actual text being posted.

I was able to resolve the installation problem today.. I've uninstalled everything and installed it and Removed port value 81 in Webserver option and left it blank and it worked.. !!!

and just as a side note... i dont think installing TS under c:\program files is good idea.. the space in the path might cause you many headaches and extra work when you start creating scripts and other things...
