Opendeploy Upgrade from 5.6 to 6.1

Hello all,
i just finished an upgrade of OD from 5.6 to 6.1 and i just want to put some info on here for anybody who might need them in the future.

the upgrade is just installing OD 6.1 on top of 5.6. there are no changes made but in the deployment script files, if you use

\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\conf\dtd make sure you change it to OpendDeployNG\dtd\conf.

and of course change the odnodes.xml.new61 to odnodes.xml and rename the old one .old and the same for all the config files.

How can i install the same in Solaris Server. Because i have OD Base in Solaris and OD receiver in Win2k3 machine. Any suggestion???

everything i have is on windows, the installation was simple and just simple changes in the config files deploy.cfg, odnodes, odbase/odrcvr.xml....
also i had change something in the deployment script files i had a line with

\OpendeployNG\conf\dtd i changed it to

\OpenDeployNG\dtd\conf.
and you need to make sure that your xml files maintain the utf-8 unicode when you edit them!

but i am not sure if you need any special changes since you are crossing platforms, i am sure they are experts on here who will answer this question!
