install_servletd.ipl -i : FAILS

When I try to run C:\iw-home\install\install_servletd.ipl -i I get the following error message.

'__IW_HOME__' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
The system cannot find the path specified.

Any idea as to what might cause this error?

Are you trying to run it standalone or as part of the install.

It typically needs an env variable set, but that is done automatically as part of the install process.

I'm trying to run it standalone. I had a problem with the install and I was hoping that reinstalling the service might fix the problem.

I am not certain how it is invoked normally. You *may* be able to search and replace the __IWHOME__ with d:\iw-home (or where ever it is).

I highly doubt that will be the only variable you need. You may read the script and see if there is any tips for running stand alone.

Try running: c:\iw-home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl c:\iw-home\install\install_servletd.ipl -i

My guess is that the first line in install_servletd.ipl is

#!__IWHOME__/iw-perl/bin/iwperl

and that's likely to cause the problem.

I also looked through the code (6.7.1) and it appears to read the default iwhome . So if the remainder of TS is installed properly, you may be good to go.
