How to track OD Deployfailure error msg???

Hi All,

Very often, i use to get Deployment failure error in my server.
Eventhough the Base and receivers are fine, i am getting this error.
I am using OD5.6 as Base and Receivers.

In what way i can track the root cause of the problem either the network traffic and huge load of the contents or network break.

How should i conclude the root cause. By upgrading to OD 6.0, will this get solved?? what are major advantages in OD 6.0

What is the specific problem you are seeing? U are receiving errors, but where do you see these errors? How often ? On all deployment configs or just certain ones?

did you look at the receivers log file? base log file? try to find the logs of the deployments that fail and post them on here. i was on OD 5.6 and i just upgraded to OD 6.1... i might be able to help!
i did have alot of problems before, but it was mainly system resources, the machines werent recycled in long time. and i got fresh new servers, things are better now!

I have checked the base log files, it says "Failed socket error" or "15 retries completed".

But what makes the socket to fail. How can in check the network traffic at that time.

i had that problem before but it was due to system resources, my machine was not recycled in 2 years, and the content got big specially that 100% are html pages... so the receiver couldnt handle it, and it fails.
try this: instead of deployment everything at once, break it down to 3 deployments, and see if that will work?.. but i think that your problem is due to the machine, not Opendeploy...
