MediaBin Web Services
vahu
Hi,
I am trying to get the ECM connection between our TS (windows 2003 and TS 6.5) to work with MediaBin (windows 2003, IIS 6.0 and MB 4.5.3) version to work. I am trying to set the example press release DCT up, but I get an error stating that the user cannot be authenticated.
"Login with MediaBin guest account" is enabled in the configuration with a valid MB user (local machine user).
I tried the WSDL URL that one had to provide in the configuration and it did give me a page not found, which lead me to ask the server administrator to do a search for MediaBinServer.asmx. The result was negative, meaning that the MediaBin Web Services have not been installed on the server. I am new to MediaBin, but this implies that the Web Services are not required to run MediaBin Server (our server is online through the windows and the web client). Can this be correct ?
I have looked through the support site, without being able to find anything in the download section.
Where can I find the MediaBin Web Services installation package (MediaBinWebServiceInstaller.msi, I believe) for MediaBin 4.5.3 version ?
Thanks
VaHu

The ECM Connector uses MB Web Services. The Web Services needs to be installed and configured correctly for the ECM Connector to work. Refer to the MB Asset Server Admin guide for more details on the installation and configuration. You can find the MB Web Services installer file on the support site.
MB Web Services in NOT required to run either the MB Server or the MB Web Client or MB Windows Client or MB Enterprise Manager. However, it is required to run MB Macintosh Client and the ECM Connector.
