Crossplatform LDAP Sol -> Windows
System
We are running TeamSite 6.7.1 on Solaris and will be integrating to an LDAP server running on Windows (AD I think). My questions are:
1) Is this supported?
2) Are there any issues with the crossplatform use?
i.e. having to login using domain\userid even though you are on Solaris?
Thanks,
Andrew Farnsworth

No conclusive information one way or the other. But 2 points to ponder. First, I would be surprised if this was a scenario tested by IWOV QA. That, IMHO, is a minor issue.
The good news is that this is a pretty well known interface and not really TS dependent. TS will use the underlying (standard OS) interface to query LDAP and if those work as expected you should be good to go. Net answer is that you are likely good shape.

You *think* or you know? I'm asking because despite MS drivel ADS is not pure LDAP. From the other hand, there are
several decent Wintel-based LDAP products on the market.
If you want to go UNIX-ADS you may want to consider MS "Services for Unix"
product (or other vendors that offer ADS/UNIX integration)
