Hello,

Using TeamSite 6.7.1 and LiveSite 3.0 on Solaris.

How do i link to a specific anchor within a LiveSite page? More specifically:

I am using the Site Map tab to manage my site navigation tree. The vast majority of links go to LiveSite pages, but some of these links need to link directly to an anchor in an html textarea in a LiveSite page. I have tried playing with the query string fields in the Site Map tab, but the system seems to encode/escape the scratch mark (#) at the start of the anchor name, and so it doesn't work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

So there are two ways to make an anchor into a LiveSite page.

The first case is simple, and therefore is less likely what you need. When an anchor needs to jump down to a section on the SAME page, use:

   Link Type:  External Url
   Link URL  :  #my_anchor_name

I am guessing that your need is actually to navigate to a specific LiveSite page and then have the browser jump directly to the anchor on that page.

To handle this case, you will have to use the $PAGE_LINK token:

   Link Type:  External Url
   Link URL  :  $PAGE_LINK[My Page Name]#my_anchor_name

This is not ideal, so we will look to improve this in the future.

I'm running TeamSite 6.7.2.0. When I try to enter "$PAGE_LINK[PageName]" (no quotes) in the Link URL field on the Node Details form, I get an error:

"Please enter a valid value for the Link URL. The value entered does not appear to be correctly formatted."

Apparently my version of TeamSite doesn't like the fact that the value I entered doesn't start with "http://". Is there an alternative technique that I can use to have a site node act as a link (or as a redirect) to another site node in TeamSite 6.7.2.0?
