how to reset password for TSIMP_<hostname>

Hi Friends,

Iam not able to preview the generated page in teamsite and it throws windows authentication box from IIS. IThe issue seems to be TSIMP_ local account password and the password for this account in the IIS iw-mount web (anonymous account) were out of sync.

Can some one throw light on how to change the password for TSIMP_?

Hmm, I have never heard that problem before. Was the account locked ?

What rev of TS and OS ?

Normally TS just impersonates (without login/password) that user.

However if this is DOS, then you *may* want to view control panel-> services
and see if any of the TS processes run specifically as that account with encoded password.

I dont think TSIMP_[hostname] has his own password. However for your issue it might be within IIS settings. Check on the authentication settings for the same.

TSIMP_**** is just a local windows user. You can change the Windows pwd for this user and sync it within IIS /security/anonymous user settings

Thanx hth.Your theory worked. I have changed the password for the user tsimp_**** and sync the same in IIS. And now i can able to preview the pages i generate.
