Pass Parameter - to an IPL file

Hi,

I need some guidance on how to pass parameter from an external task
to an IPL file..
code snippet

/successors>
__INSERT__("");

******

But the problem I am facing is in the ipl file say cmdemail.ipl
I cannot get the task Id correctly to do the transition.

How to get these values.. task id, pass strings like SUCCESS PRD etc etc..

Please give me some briefing on this.

Everytime you call an external task workflow engine automatically pass three parameters

1. task ID
2. Job ID
3. Workarea vpath

you can get these values using normal shift opertaors etc of perl... something like below

my ($hostname,$workflowid, $taskid, $workflowArea) = (@ARGV[0..3]);

Getting things right... correct order of values are jobId, taskID and workarea, if no parameter has been passed along with the command.

my ($jobid, $taskid, $work_area) = (@ARGV[0..2]);

If any parameter is being passed along with ... it would get prefixed. For example... if the command within workflow has been written as:
/path/of/the/file/external_file_name.ipl parameter then the order would be:
parameter, jobId, taskId, workarea.

my ($param, $jobid, $taskid, $work_area) = (@ARGV[0..3]);
