limit replication of a group

i have a problem........need your's help
if i add replication="true" as an attribute in a group, i can replicate the group any number of times.
how can i put a limit on that?

currently there is no way to put a limit on replicants

This is currently still the case correct? If so are there any future plans to have a min, max, and default for a datum or group?

We have worked around this by using a DCT or using XSL to limit the output. Any other workarounds?

Could a prefix be used?
