Strange CGI Error

I am on TS6.5sp1 on win2000. I have a regular standard Cgi's for calender, category and so on. When i remote login to the TS server and open a New form, i can see the CGI window of calender and see the calender. Same case with any other CGI.

But when i log in from out side the box the CGI pop ups do appear bit they are empty. I donno why nothing has changed.

Please advice.

I'd suggest checking the logs that appear under the log-dir/iwui/ for help debugging this - my guess is that somewhere you're code is assuming a URI path that only works within the confines of the TS server.

I was thinking that this might be a JVm compatability error, because this thing worked from a different computer with JVm of 1.4.2_12 version.

The machine where it didn't work had JVM's of java 5 version and thier upgrades. I looked at log files, i haven't see anything significant from those, were you talking about any specific log file?

I think its the browse that's blocking the CGI's pop up calender. Try a different browser with same JVM setting to check if its the case.

It's not a browser. Above, he indicated that

I know that the client JVM does not execute the HTML or JavaScript code that is rendered by the browser. So the issue is with the browser that is not able to render the page correctly. Its hard to believe that JVM update is causing this as its not related to the CGI scripts written in PERL.

You shouldn't need CGI wrapper unless your CGI will need permission of the iwuser or access to the DCR fields. That being said... it couldn't hurt.
