Restricting Upload of Folders

Hi we want that the user can not upload Folders into Teamste.

We are using Autoprivate.cfg file for restricting some files to be uploaded.

But is there a way to restrict Folders being Uploaded into TeamSite.

I do not believe the OOTB Import UI provides for any kind of configuration for restrictions (or anything) - so the only way I can see being able to do this would be to remove the OOTB Import feature and create your own custom Import feature (i.e. design and write your own custom code and include it in the UI via standard UI customization techniques as documented in the TeamSite User Interface Customization Guide).

If your users are making use of the samba share to interact with the TeamSite server outside the confines of the TeamSite GUI - then I don't think there is anything you can do about that.

Other than the above (which is admittedly limited) you basically are left with user-training.

We are not using samba for uploading purpose. We tried some Perl/ CGI codes for file upload , then we saw that the permission of files after uploading to the directory was iwui ( But we wanted UserID of the user who is Uploading the files) .

To the best of my knowledge Interwoven has till not not shared / Made public the code for the Import Files functionality.

Lets see if this happens , so that we all can do our own custimization.

Did you run your CGI through the iwcgi_wrapper.cgi that IWOV provides?
