I am on 6.7.1 on win2003 sp1.

All i am trying here is to remove some properties in the "Picture" functionality in VFE,

So as per my understanding, i should do it on "cmdmfumedia" and not on "cmdmfuinsert"

Do any one know about the functionality of , in VFconfig.xml, it says that as i quote,

I tried with values greater than 0, all they do is when you tab out from height, they make the value of width same as height. is there a value for which both width and height are disable??

I need to disable these.

maxsizek tag specifies the maximum file size allowed for *upload* function.
It has nothing whatever to do to image file browsing

Well i have this customization to be done, when uploading an image, my client wants some restrictions on Image features, is there a function in javascript which i can use to check the widtha nd height of an uploaded Image???

Not in JS, no. JS runs on browser, all you know there is a reference to the image File location on the server.
So, as far as I can tell you have few options:

As a pert of this, i am trying to capture the size (width and height ) of an uploaded image?

As most of them know we have Image: Smiley Frustrated

ize perl module which can be use din determining the same. For some reason it is not working for me, has any one tried it ??? Here is the code.

Have you tried setting an explicit path to 'test.JPG'?

The code won't dynamically determine the location of the file you are trying to process - as you have it written, it will assume that the file is in the current working directory - which you may not have control over if the program is launched from within TeamSite (is it the location of the DCT?, the DCR?, the workarea root?, iwhome?, etc.)

If you know the file resides in an images/ subdirectory of the current workarea - you should be able to construct that path from contextual information and then use that for your setting of $image.

yes, you are right, i checked the same as you said, but here the file is int he same directory as ipl, so it shouldn't matter, but i tried specifying the path, still it doesn't give anything, here is the code and the output.

I suggest you use forward-slashes - they don't require being escaped and they're portable (work on Unix and Windows - and Mac's ;-).
