Many thanks for your analysis and reply. As far as i heard, OpenDeploy's java version is lower than Teamsite 6.7.1 java version.so there are chances for overwriting the java runtime if OD got installed after teamsite and this may lead to problems.thats why i opt to install OD first. Also is it necessary to copy the entire iw-store directory itself or just the store in it (store-X) for migration. Also in new Solaris server as i'm going to create the users and groups with UID's and Group id's similar to that in old Solaris server,is it necessary to run iwusermigrate tool.please confirm.

We found KB 56722 that recommends to install OD 6.1 BEFORE TS 6.7.1.Is the situation the same when installing OD 6.1.1?In other words,(1) *must* we install OD6.1.1 prior to TS 6.7.1?(2) What if there are new patches to OD 6.1.1. Can they be safely installed after installing TS 6.7.1
Regarding your query, yes it does apply to OD 6.1.1 as well. ...Before answering your query I would like to brief you on this bug:-----------------------------------The bug 68629, stated in KB atricle 56722 will not affect the normal operations of the TeamSite or OpenDeploy. If TeamSite 6.7.1 is installed BEFORE OD Admin, what will happen is that you will receive an error in the event that you try to UNINSTALL TeamSite. The JRE that is overwritten is the JRE in the uninstall directory. Here is a workaround for this:1. Have TS on system2. Save-off /jre3. Install ODWhen you want to uninstall TeamSite:1. Save-off /jre2. Restore the jre saved off in step 2 above.3. Uninstall TSIf you follow the installation procedure given in the article 56722 you wouldn't face any problem during uninstallation of Teamsite.----------------------------If you are installing (in future) some OD patches after TS is installed, please perform the following steps:1. Save-off /jre (patch may or may not overwrite the jre; perform this as precautionary step)2. Install OD patchesThen if you want uninstall Teamsite:1. Save-off /jre2. Restore the jre saved off in step 1 above.3. Uninstall TS.This way we are making sure that uninstall directory has the proper jre version in it.
