TS 6.5 SP2 license

Hello,
i just installed ts 6.5 sp2 on w2k3 and this is a test upgrade for me to document things before i upgrade the dev box then prod box. i thought i have 30 days to use it before i have to get a license?
but since i installed it, TS service doesnt starts and says error in license validations?
do i still have to generate a license for this temp box?

As far as I know - you need to have a license for every installation of TeamSite - regardless of whether you consider it a test installation.

Fish is right. You have to generate a new license with the license generator...

i know that i had 30 days without license for OD.. so i thought that Teamsite might have it too. i wonder if the company gets chargerd for test license? i am not sure of the contract b/w my company and interwoven... also what is the difference b/w prod license, dev license. and stand by?
i just wanna make sure that i dont cause any charges to my company without discussing it with them first.

Hi,

If you need a 30 day temporary key to do some testing before upgrade dev boxes, the best thing to do is contact supportadmin@interwoven.com. They will clear the key through your account executive to make sure that they know what you are generating it for. Customers can only generate permanent license keys through the Support site.
Development boxes and standby servers are sold as separate server licenses. You can find out which servers your company has purchased by contacting supportadmin@interwoven.com or your account executive to make sure you do not generate too many license keys.
