iwproxy was unable to open a connection

Hi,

When i try to view an xls file in TS, iam getting the following error:

iwproxy was unable to open a connection to: 10.200.200.200:81
Reason: Connection refused.

Teamsite 6.5
Solaris 8

I checked the iw.cfg file,
[iwproxy]
iwproxy_host=localhost
customer_webserver_host=10.200.200.200
iwproxy_port=1080
customer_webserver_port=81

I tried iwreset -ui, it didn't work..

Could somebody suggest what else i need to check or debug.

Please check your customer webserver is running or not. If not restart the instance

Check your apache settings (if that is what you are using)

Try to go to

http://10.200.200.200:81/

with a browser.

Also on the box, run ps -ef | grep http

see if apache is running at all, look at th ehttpd.conf and see what port it is running on.

in the browser, it reports page cannot be displayed.

I checked netstat -na | grep 81

and found that its not running.

How should i restart the customer web server. Sun one web server is used as the customer web server.

It depends on where it is installed. I have no idea. You may want to ask your sys admin.

You should be able to reboot the server and it *should* autostart (if it is configured properly).

i went to /apps/iplanet/https-test-interwovn and tried ./start,

It throws the following message:

I think its trying to run in port 80 which is already in usage, can i reinstall the customer web server ..

You should not need to reinstall it. There is a config file (maybe call httpd.conf - I am not certain how SunOne works). That has a port defined as port 80, change it to 81.

Try changing the port number in Server.xml file under /apps/iplanet/https-test-interwovn/config to 81 and restart the instace

Yeap... it worked and the customer web server is running at 81 port...

One more issue, now iam getting the file not found error..

Its a 404 error page, i checked the docroot and its proper in the server.xml file. Also the file exists...

Any thoughts..

Have you configured the iw-mount alias on the web server and I believe this is detailed in the install manual.

Do you have a load balancer in the front end ?
Are there multiple "404 errors" in the access logs ? What is the corresponding error in the 'errorlogs' ?

This normally happens when the server is looking for the file in the wrong location ?

Noep we are not using any load balancer..

I went to /apps/iplanet/https-test-interwovn/log and checked for the error log:

[04/May/2007:17:50:55] warning (25261): for host 10.200.200.200 trying to GET /iw-mount/default/main/test/WORKAREA/working/generate.xls, HTTP4142: can't find /apps/iplanet/docs/iw-mount/default/main/test/WORKAREA/working/generate.xls (File not found)

I noticed one stuff, in apps/iplanet/ there is a folder named 'alias'.. its empty.. but in a server which is in working condition this has some files related to key and certificate..

Any thoughts?
