Can't edit in CCPro
djo2112
Has anyone come across an error message when trying to edit a file in Teamsite (You know, clicking the Edit hyperlink):
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library (Title Bar)
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information.
The only thing I can remember installing (last week) was something from Adobe.
Thanks.

Does this happen when you edit DCR's or just any other file. I faced this issue within DCR's (more precisely VisualFormat) fields. I found this to be a problem with MSN toolbar beta(about 2.5 yrs back) installed in the client machine. Hope it helps.

Yes, View Source and Edit.
I removed the Google Toolbar and that didn't help.
I also disabled some of our OfficeScan Add-In's as well.
Thanks for the comments!

Can you try running from a different client machine. See if you can replicate the problem. Since it's a IE specific issue, not sure if support will be able to help you. Also can try with FF.

LOL!
This is MS Stuff - it works fine on other clients!

After a few days of troubleshooting (read: grunting) I discovered what has happened.
Our AD admin forced-down JAVA 1.3.1_19 for a daylight savings time update to our community.
I discovered this in the IE browser by going to Tools, Manage Add-ons and disabling the ActiveX control one-by-one until I narrowed it down to the "Sun Java Console" object.
I updated to our current build library 1.4.2_11 and all is well.
Hope this helps someone else.
