Error connection to Microsoft Word from Visual Format

My Teamsite is running at version 6.5 SP 2. I've problem trying to connect Microsoft Word from Visual Format Editor. Upon click the Word icon, the following error message appeared

A file error has occurred. Try one or more of the following:

* Check the disk drive to make sure the disk is properly inserted.
* Check the disk or the disk drive to make sure there is not a hardware problem.
* Check the network connections.


There is no problem with my Microsoft Office 2003.
