iw_solution_email.ipl sender email?

Hi, how to configure the email sender when using iw_solution_email.ipl task?

I wanted to set my email sender to a specific email address, because out exchange server only allowed email account from a certain domain name.

can please kindly let me know how to configure that? thanks.

If your MTA(Mail Transfer Agent)MS Exchange/Lotus ..does not support relaying
then there's no way that teamsite can send emails .You'll have to get your IT folks involved explaining your requirement or switch to a server that supports
relaying .

Enabling debug mode should clarify and give you a user case through the logs
when you attempt sending email to d@e.com through a b.com MTA . a@b.com Emails will just go fine ...

I can understand that, so we have a dedicated email address for TeamSite to send email.

However, I notice that the current configuration makes use of Current Task Owner's email address to send email to the next Task Owner.

Somehow I remember I did configured the TeamSite to use a dedicated email address to send email to the next Task Owner.

Do you have any idea what makes this changes?

The from address comes from the ccmail_header.tpl file, you can look at modifying this.

If you create a copy of the particular header .tpl file instead of modifying the OOTB one - and configure your workflows to use your modified copy - then no, it's not hacking - it's the supported manner for doing what you want.

If you just modify the OOTB .tpl file - then you stand the chance of loosing your changed when you apply patches, SPs, or upgrades - and thus that is more like "hacking" (though not really - just bad practice)
