If your MTA(Mail Transfer Agent)MS Exchange/Lotus ..does not support relayingthen there's no way that teamsite can send emails .You'll have to get your IT folks involved explaining your requirement or switch to a server that supportsrelaying .Enabling debug mode should clarify and give you a user case through the logs when you attempt sending email to d@e.com through a b.com MTA . a@b.com Emails will just go fine ...
