Preset server connection in Mediabin Client login

Hi,

My users will be using the mediabin client and when they execute the "mbclient.exe" file, they have to add the server connection setting and enter user id and password to access it.

How do I preset that server connection so that when they execute that application, they just need to enter the user id and password?

You should seriously read the documentation or go to training.

Refer to page 110 of the MB Asset Server Admin Guide.

Training and documentation is beneficial however you really have a valid question. How does an admin preset the server name for the MediaBin Windows Client?

I don't think it can be done, we just sent an email to all of our mediabin users telling them the server name and detailed instructions how to get connected.

Afraid that the default server is stored in the Windows registry and it I have asked around and cannot find a good way to do what you are asking.
