OD not working

Hi All,

On my workflow using an external task, i am calling an ipl file.
On IPL file i am executing command for open deploy.
If my deployment file is fine and ipl file is also fine,then what could be the reason of not working open deploy.
I have checked /local/logs files there it is showing that ipl is called.
But i am not finding any changes in OD log files.
odnodes.xml and odbase.xml files are also updated. Is it issue of permission?

Have you checked the ipl logs... whether the OD command has been executed from there or not? Also check if you can run the OD command directly from command line.

If your OD call is being executed, then *some* OD log file(s) will be changed. Have you looked at od-home/logs? If there's nothing new there, verify that OD is running and if it is, the problem would appear to be in your ipl.

At that point, try the regular debugging techniques that pretty much everyone knows.

If you haven't found the log files with information - please post the code you are using to invoke OpenDeploy, as perhaps there is a problem there and we can suggest ways to track it down.

I have only changed the command from "iwodstart" to "iwodcmd start" and now it is working fine.
Please anyone tell me what is the diff between the two commands.

iwodstart is the "old" command line tool used for invoking deployments which starts up a new JVM each time it is called.
iwodcmd is the "new" command line tool used for invoking deployments (with 'start' parameter) or other functions - utilizing a shared JVM, and thus it should be more efficient.

I am using Teamsite 6.5 sp2.
I am able to deploy on location c:/temp/deployment folder.
But when i am trying to deploy in c:/Interwoven/teamsite then open deploy returning 2304 error.
I have updated the odbase and odnode files.
Where i have to look for this problem.

Check the group in which the user is, which you are using for deployment? As in UNIX, there are certain users who have root priviledges, check if you user is in that group or not?

Still I am facing the same problem that my deployment is working fine for any other location except c:/Interwoven/Teamsite. I have admin permissions and added myself to c:/intewoven/teamsite folder.

Hi,
I have changed the previliges to c:/interwoven/teamsite folder.
Might be they are not getting reflected.
I stopped all the services related to IW and then restarted.
It makes my deployment working fine.
