I am totally missing logic here, can anyonethrow me a clue........

It is simple set up for Positioning the Image on the website, so i have a drop down box in the replicant gives options of Only Body, right Image and center Image.

So accordingly for only body VFE is seen in the replicant, for Right and Image field and VFE are seen, its same with center Image.

I am setting this up as stated below, but no matter what your selection is the Image appears for every replicant.

Hi,

How many VF items are there in each of your replicant ?
Can you try the above code with a change of the sequence of execution, like "Body" coming later, or, if you could put the whole part inside another iw_if.... /iw_if condition

Well i have only 1 body per replicant.

Nope your idea wouldn't work, i tried that, if you do that also you will get image for each replicant.

I mean i can do a
var repInst = IWDatacapture.getItem(item);
var children = repInst.getChildren();
var count = children.length;

but i had to do in a script cannot do it inside a tpl??

Anyone can throw me an idea...

If you want to abstract PT Functions into your own class(es) you may try to pass them as closures or
use TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

I am doing a simple TPL which checks each replicant for "LinkType", depending on the type

It will place image to the Right of the Body or below the body or just place body.

My Options for "LinkType" are "Body", "RightImage" and "CenterImage"

I need to check for each replicant and display accordingly

i am using this, i guess this can be done more easily too...

I have confusion on "Iterate" this gives a count of the replicants, my logic is going bonkers here.

i have done this for now.. i am still working on it, any little clue can set me going.

What seems to be the problem? In the posted code you ignore odd iterations and try to output something (using questionable syntax) on even.

To get total number of replicants all you have to code is my $ordinal = scalar(iwpt_dcr_list('dcr.Related Links'));
Let's say for argument sake that it evaluates to 11. What do you need it for? How does it help?

I am sorry i got it working for some part, now my concern shifted to display.

Thank you for your esponse, i am still fighting with getting links in to the tpl. here is a simple link which i am trying to get, it not even outputing into the tpl..

i.e iwpt_output for both linktitle and linkdocuments is nothing, when i try to brivew it gives the general tpl error. I donno why.. Please let me know where i am going wrong.

Yes this would work. Thank you. What i am doing is that i am giving option to end user to attach links at any point in the webpage.

as you have noticed i am appending a cfm path to the varaibles so that i can get the right path to the documnets.

Sure it does. You output html elements after the loop. So, no matter how many link replicants you have you do it only once.
And since variables declared in the loop are now out of lexical scope, you do not even output the last link. The end result is
a single bullet and anchor tag without *clickable* label.

Ooops... Thank you for pointing that, now it is clear, and i can get my links to work prefect. Now its problem with links, they appear every where. I want it to appear only when my LinkType is "Links". Finally i am attaching ,my tpl and every file associated with my DCT.

since i am doing foreach $rlink inside the if loop where i am checking of "Links" is selected, i guess my logic is wrong. I would appretiate if you can point my mistake.

You will have to debug your own code, it's not the job people usually do for free. I would recommend to do it by the baby steps making sure that
the code works properly on every interim step. Something like "output all" first, "make it conditional" second, format output, etc...

I am not looking for some one to debug my code, but to point me where i was making wrong. But some how i worked on it and i figured out how to do it. It works fine now.
